Relief operations reach communities in Negros Oriental for Typhoon ‘Odette’ victims

With its commitment to paying it forward and advocacy towards community ethos, Cybalink Solutions participated in funding/donation drives aimed to provide aid to victims affected by Typhoon “Odette” (International name: “Rai”) last December 2021. The typhoon caused massive destruction affecting the water supply, transportation of food and cutting of power lines causing blackouts for more than a month in the Visayas Region.

To aid the typhoon victims, led by our Managing Director – Kim Lombardi, Cybalink Employees and our Australian patrons, we were able to raise donations to assist in the organized relief operations in the disaster-affected communities of Guihulngan, La Libertad and Manjuyod, Negros Oriental. The money was used to purchase the basic necessities most needed immediately by families such as rice, monggo beans, root vegetables, noodles, canned goods, drinking water, baby formula, clothes, and other basic essentials.

All relief goods were purchased, packed, and distributed by an amazing team of volunteers including but not limited to staff from Finbar, Atmosphere Resorts, Azure Resort, Lau’s Resto Bar, local government officials, and from the municipality of Dauin including its Mayor Galicano A. Truita.

These volunteers spent many days and many nights packing, weighing, bagging, and driving several hours to distribute the goods. For without their support and their kindness along with the donors, we would not have given the help and support to 2,000 residents and their families. We are grateful to have the opportunity to uplift the spirits of those who are affected by the typhoon. Cybalink Solutions with its donors will continue to extend aid during times of adversity.
